I am inspired by the Meyer Foundation’s community partners and their dedication to advancing equity and justice in the DMV. I believe that strategic communications is a key part of this transformation, serving as a tool to both influence and inform. With this, my goal is to actively contribute to this movement through my role at Meyer.

As the Senior Communications Associate at Meyer, I aim to support our communications efforts and strengthen our messaging and online presence. Through social media, in-person and virtual convenings, and other mechanisms, I work not only to promote the work that Meyer believes in and funds, but also to engage and form meaningful connections with our partners and the community more broadly.

Before joining Meyer, I attended George Washington University, where I received my master’s degree in global communication. This program helped me refine my communication skills and trained me to communicate effectively, both internally and externally, to various audiences.

I’m originally from the Buffalo, NY area, where I interned in various government offices and served as an AmeriCorps VISTA. My time as a VISTA was particularly transformative, allowing me to engage with the Buffalo community at a deeper level. This engagement was integral to developing the communications strategy for our Love Your Block program, which provided micro-grants to community organizations for projects such as community gardens, public art installations, and improved street lighting. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we quickly organized to use our resources to distribute necessary supplies to the hardest hit neighborhoods. This role taught me the value of connecting with my community, and I continue to approach my work with this in mind.

I joined the Meyer Foundation in 2024.
