I believe that people navigating life through the injustices of systemic racism are the true authority on how to dismantle systems of oppression. I’m thrilled to be the Meyer Foundation’s first Bowie State University Philanthropy Fellow and to continue the work of creating an equitable DC where access to prosperity and health is attainable.

As a Philanthropy Fellow at the Meyer Foundation, I have the privilege of contributing both to programmatic work and the business operations of grantmaking. The projects I work on support Meyer’s goal to shift power, resources, and platforms to Greater Washington communities that have been affected by unjust policies, discrimination, and systems that strip agency from communities and individuals.

I came to the Foundation as a recent graduate of Bowie State University studying public administration. Prior to graduate school, I spent my career in DC-area nonprofits focused on leading programs, people, and projects.

I joined the Foundation in 2023.
