Ciara Myers

I believe that the broad field of communications plays a vital role in strengthening and transforming individuals and society. When done well, communications in the social sector can inform, influence, and improve lives. Whether through writing, design, or other creative mediums, I value the opportunity to help drive lasting change through my work at the Meyer Foundation.

As the Director for Strategic Communications, I lead the development of content and messaging that advances racial equity and propels forward our mission and goals for the Greater Washington community. I oversee our branding and digital platforms, manage media relations, supervise editorial operations, and support communications from the executive office.

My previous roles have deepened my understanding of the issues that matter most to our communities—and how many of those challenges are rooted in a long history of injustice. They’ve also shown me that the resources to address these challenges are available when the collective will is there.

I joined the Meyer Foundation in 2016.
