Since 1999, Meyer has supported NPower Greater DC Region (formerly known as Technology Works for Good) to ensure that nonprofits serving the Greater Washington Region can access and use technology to work smarter, deliver better programs, and achieve more.
Through its support for the Catalogue for Philanthropy, Meyer is committed to helping individual donors find and support effective nonprofits in the region. Individual contributions, which represent the overwhelming majority of financial support to nonprofit organizations, are an untapped resource for many nonprofits in the region.
Meyer also provides funding for organizations that exist to strengthen the region's nonprofit organizations and increase the visibility and influence of the nonprofit sector. These grantees include the Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington, the Center for Nonprofit Advancement, and the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations. These organizations strengthen the advocacy capacity of individual organizations and the sector as a whole; conduct research to document the size, scope, and economic impact of the region's nonprofit sector; and provide networking, training, and professional development opportunities.
