Meyer Foundation President Julie Rogers participated in a panel discussion on Thursday, July 19, at the Hudson Institute's Bradley Center for Philanthropy and Civic Renewal in Washington, DC. The discussion, entitled "Grantmaking: The Lonely Profession?", explored the connection between grantmaking professionals and the communities they serve. Rogers discussed how collaboration plays a significant role in keeping foundation staff engaged.
Panelists Howard Gardner of Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education; Laura Horn, formerly of Harvard’s GoodWork Project; Minday Hernandez, formerly of the Carnegie Corporation of New York; and Rogers joined the session, which was moderated by William Schambra of the Bradley Center.
